Anugerah Era 07

First of all, I would like to thank Mr. Budiey for being so nice to ask me to follow him to Anugerah Era 2007. Sounds kewl but I was already imagining how tired I would be as I've been so into the work of pictures editing lately. It was all really cold up there. I don't to have smoke to blow smokes from my mouth.


There were a lot of people, and Anuar Zain actually arrived late, and he was warmly welcomed by the crowd, and by us, the photographers especially.

The event started at around 2100, and started with a show from the Jinbara, followed by Adam and his friends later. Soon as they're finished, AC, Kiran and I don't know who the hell was that girl came out to announce the New Artist award. Then followed by an Orang Asli dance gimmick by one of the presenter, who was actually Aznil Nawawi. He together with Dayang Nurfaizah presenting the award of, err.. I don't remember.. Can someone make me recall? Urghhh...

Actually it was because I was looking at the girl who was holding the awards. She's so beautiful....

Later, I was fascinated with the stunning performance from Kazar and Kristal. I didn't Kazar is a good singer and as mentioned by Sultan Muzaffar in his blog, he was one of the Bintang RTM finalist. I tell you, Kazar rocks! From someone who I know spoke Negeri Sembilan Dialects very well now he's a singer with a powderful voice! I'm gonna like him more!

It was Linda and the singer of Keris Patih from Indonesia giving away the award of Global Music. It was later followed by a medley of Malay Songs Rojaked with English + Indian Raps. OK la.. Not so bad.

There were a lot more awards giving and shows. There were so many to tell, but there are some interesting shows that I can still remember.

Anuar zain's performance is again notably good, but it was way off my expectation. It was plain but I guess you people out there must have liked it like mad. Well, Kazar it way much better than Anuar Zain. I think Anuar got some problem with the voice as well.

Keris Patih from Indonesia was one of the good performers for the night. Even though they were playing songs that was something irregular to my ears but the vocal is notably perfect. Why can't Malaysian do something like this? I saluted the vocalist as his voice is awesomely fine.

Yeah. This is a duet version of Rama-rama song of Ella? Heh. The little girl was the winner of, I think she won the Impersonating Ella contest and she sang very well. Why last time there was no such thing, if there's something like impersonating Awie or Amy, I'll surely participate.

The Launching of 6ixth Sense's Second Album

I was invited (THANX TO BUDIEY) to the launching of the album of this new group, the 6ixth Sense. So I went to KL, Awin picked me up and rushed me there. As I was allowed to bring anyone there, I asked her to join me as I actually knows nobody there accept if Budiey of Sensari Selebriti is coming as well.

We arrived so early, as early as 2.30 so our name was the first and second on the guest book. Then, there were people coming and introduced themselves to us and so so so on. Suddenly I saw one familiar face. He's actually Mujahid, a friend of mine, who likes sisha so much and he is also the manager of The 6ixth Sense as well. Damn!!!!

After waiting for quite sometimes, then only they provide us with the food. I was hungry but at the same time I was nervous. How am I gonna shoot pictures in this place? So as people rushed to the food provided I took test pictures. The one circled in red is Mr. Mujahid, The 6ixth Sense's Manager.

Thank god Budiey came to the function so at least I have people around to talk with. I was so excited with people I knew around and we were chatting non stop (you know me sometimes when I got too excited, I can be a non stop talking parrot). In front of me is Faidi (correct me if I'm wrong).

The provided food are ok (they should have provided better food) but sadly they only serve Coke and Sprite for drinks. Luckily they are able to provide us with the Sky Juice. Next to me is Awin, who is so kind to fetch me from the Commuter Station and drive to me Planet Hollywood. Thanx! I'll belanja roti bakar satu set :)

This the Metadome Sdn. Bhd.'s manager, Mr. Ferhard. Sounds like the singer Ferhad but ok la, he looks like a rock rock person too. That appearance just suit what he's doing.

So this is the album launching ceremony. I don't know who the hell is that guy with the spectacle and white pants. Well, this is a local group with an Indonesian vocalist, with was has brought some controvercial issues of are we lacking of local talents but who cares? This is such a good combination with quite an interesting marketing strategy for both Malaysian and Indonesian market.

They're quite optimist by being the first artist to venture into digital music market. It's quite an open to high risk venture but this is just the necessary in order to make use of the techs. We should wait and see. Now music is not just about making albums, it's about how the artist is being marketed. Music royalty is still quite an issue but it has to be taken cared with a highly detailed concern on the implementations.

The waited performance is a bomb, it's just that, the song are too new and it seems to me that out of that 5 performed songs, none were ear-catching to me. There are rooms to improvisation but the singer is quite able to manage the stage greatly. Well done!

So this is a special post just for my camera. You guys can take this print out for an A4 print. Just crop it to 4:5 ratio and done.

The one that blinked his eyes is BOB, my uncle. I knew Mujahid through him and he's also was somekind of involved in grooming of this band and together we pray that this group will someday will grow, up to some level that we can be proud of.

Sumolah... The Review Interview

Q :: Kau pergi tengok ke?

Ya.

Kami pergi menonton wayang gambar pada hari Sabtu yang lepas. Cerita apa? Cerita Sumolah oleh Afdlin Shauki.

Sebagai salah seorang peminat dan penyokong terbesar mamat yang agak besar itu (iaitu Afdlin Shauki), aku pun terpaksalah naik ke KL dengan sukarelanya. Rancangan untuk menonton Sumolah itu telah dianjurkan dengan jayanya oleh Encik Budiey.

Q :: Best tak citer tu?

Aku rasa aku nak bagi 3.7 out of 5. Saje macam best je ada nombor 7 tu. Nak bagi 7 tak boleh sebab out of 5. Kalau out of 10 aku bagi dia 7.7. Kalau out of 15..

Q :: Oi... dah dah dah.. Ko suka tak tengok citer ni?

Aku rasa macam suka. Tapi meleret-leret sangat la. Sampai aku terpaksa tahan kencing supaya tak lepas scene-scene penting. Nanti aku kena batu karang aku saman afdlin shauki.


Q :: Sape lagi yang pegi?

Tengok la kat atas tu. Yang besar kecik tua muda semuanya pergi. Tengok sendirilah. Malas aku nak sebut sorang2. Salah eja nama nanti kena complain plak.

Aku sampai2 aje terus pegi jumpa diorang kat concourse KLCC. Aku antara yang terawal sampai.

Q :: Eh.. tak tanya pun..

Eh engko apahal? Aku saja nak bagitau kau. Saje nak bagitau bagi kau jeles. Aku dapat goodie bag dengan CAP kat dalam dia. Kalau tak aku dah boleh dapat T-shirt tapi sebab aku kesian kat ada sorang budak Montok ni, aku reservekan la untuk dia. Aku patut claim duit tu kat dia.

Q :: Berapa kau nak claim?

Ah sibuk lah kau...!


Q :: Part mana yang kau suka dalam citer tu?

Aku rasa aku suka part yang last sekali. Masa diorang semua berbaik. Itulah harapan yang sepanjang cerita itu. Tapi yelah boring lah. Happy ending. Tapi kalau ikut lagu CINTA, kan dia ada cakap; bukankah hidup kita akhirnya harus bahagia?

Q :: Kau jiwang la (sambil korek hidung dan makan)

Aku cakap benda yang betul. Bukan jiwang. Sekurang-kurangnya aku tak makan taik hidung macam kau.


Q :: Part apa yang paling mengesankan dalam cerita tu?

Part yang pagi sebelum diorang pergi competition kat Lim Kok Wing tu (ala Afdlin, macam la aku tak tau.. kan dah kantoi). Afdlin tengah berlatih dengan gigihnya di halaman rumah. Mak dia datang dan dia cakap..

"Mak.... Mak tau tak, Ramlee sayang sangat kat mak....."

Bulu kaki dan misai gua terus meremang. Gua terus teringat kat Mak gua dan mata gua mula bergenang. Awek yang bernama Mazen kat sebelah aku dengan kuatnya announce, "AKU NANGIS NI".


Q :: Oklah. Terima kasih kerana sudi ditemuramah. Jumpa lagi yer.

Eh tadi ko cakap interview dapat duit ma? Kata ko nak bagi aku RM50?

Q:: Eh manade.

Ada la.

Q :: Yeke? Eh lupa pulak. Ada soalan lagi la..

Ah. Alasan. Tapi boleh jugak. Rasa cam glamour plak. Tanyalah lagi.


Q :: Lepas tu korang buat apa? (sambil korek telinga dengan jari dan cium)

Pegi makan2 la. Sembang2. Tapi semua orang pun nak balik cepat.

Q :: Eh takde gambar ke?

Kau buta ke apa? Kau tak nampak ke?


Q :: Sape pulak yang macam menang anugerah tu?

Tula budak tu.. yang mont.. tu.. hehehe.. Tapi memang dapat anugerah pun. Anugerah cabutan bertuah. Dapat MUG. Aku haram x dapat apa2.

Q :: Aku rasa nak kencing la. Ko tunggu kejap boleh tak?

Okay.

American Idol

Melinda has been voted out.

What a sad news for me and maybe some others. Even Simon has been keping to say that he'ww surely select Melinda for the final, it doesn't affect the American to not to vote her in, or maybe the vote is not enough.

Or maybe the Americans have had enough of Simon's commentaries. It seems like whatever he commented all these while has greatly affected the votings.

Or maybe, with Blake Lewis in it, all the hideous deejay of techno-rave fans were coming out to vote for him thus all of a sudden the votes for him jumped up like hell.

Jordin? Maybe because all students were voting her, as she's still very young.

Whatever it is, losing Melinda from the American Idol is not that unexpected. Anything can happen.

Malaysian Idol once crowned Daniel, who I think failed enough to stop the program from continuing.
